Neral

A powerful antimicrobial and antifungal. A 2014 study published in the International Journal of Molecular Medicine, stated that neral showed significant anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects. The study first looked at the effects of twenty different essential oils in vitro. Of all the oils tested, lemongrass displayed the strongest anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects. They then carried out the same study looking separately and neral and geranial with similar results. Neral cand be good for relieving digestive upsets. Scientific reports point to Neral (Citral) aiding in balancing of hormone levels, and aiding in synthesizing of Vitamin A.
